We're going to upgrade MySQL cluster to newer version on Friday night / Saturday morning starting at 2 AM EST. This is an important upgrade for security reasons and will also provide performance benefits.
Editors should anticipate a 15 minute window where writing new posts or updating existing posts won't work. This specific window will start at about 4AM. We will send an update when its all clear for editorial features.
During the 4 hour window we expect some up and down of features and some latency as we switch between clusters.
We do not anticipate this to have any impact on public pages or reader experiences.
